All fun things come to an end, and so has Photokina 2008. For 6 whole days, thousands of people from all over the world arrived at Köln for Photokina, a show for all photography professionals and lovers. With over 8 hours of walk, we covered most of the exhibition stage, it’s certain (and everyone agrees) that the best booth this year was lomography’s. They put lots of love, design and art into their show and you couldn’t go by without smiling. Lots of photos are on this flickr set. Here’s me at the booth, ended up buying a fisheye lomo set with bunch of stickers for the laptop

Use our new embed tool to show off your effects and photos in your blogs, your profile pages and emails. Using the recently introduced Gigya widget, you can now post your newly created photos on your Orkut page, Facebook profile, MySpace account and dozen other supported social networks.

Nah, I haven’t dug this photo from my basement. It is actually a photo I took in a wonderful hotel in Scotland (original photo).

You have all felt that earthquake — dumpr had an unexpected downtime of approximately 3 hours.

This was caused due to a change I was trying to make to the server configuration to make it run faster. That experiment failed and blew up in my face, causing a hellish downtime and a nervous breakdown. The good news is that no user data has been deleted or corrupted.

On a side note, I have been a bad blogger. I should blog more often. Last blog entry was when I moved to this new hosting. Since then I have added many new effects, plenty of new features and the userbase growth has been amazing! I will use this space to share the experience with dumpr’s users. Thank you for being one! )
